The Piano Bar attracts locals and tourist alike. We have a rotating line up that makes it worthwhile checking out any night of the week. From the professional to the tenderfoot, from the professional jazz muso to the show town pianist, to the student trying to find his or her voice. We have them all. We have a cover charge most nights to assist us with keeping the MUSIC ALIVE!

Timothy Ehrenreich & Tammy van der Ross

R40Timothy attracted the attention of local guitar legend, Derrick Scheepers, who became an inspiring mentor, role model and close friend. Under Scheepers’ expert guidance and influence, Timothy quickly gained increased confidence and greatly expanded his musical skill and technique on guitar.
Soon thereafter, Timothy emerged as a well-qualified and sought-after jazz guitarist, becoming Cape Town’s youngest full-time performing musician at age 16. He began working with well-known local and international artists in Cape Town and on tour to other cities.

Francois Botha is pianist living and working in Cape Town, South Africa and is active in the classical, jazz and popular music scenes.
NINA STAMPER
Nina’s music can at best be described as global – which combines a variety of different styles and influences. She fuses afro soul, jazz, pop and even house music.

A vibrant artist who has worked abroad for many decades. She brings us sounds from Jazz, R&B, Motown, Cabaret and Soul – funk.

He makes his music the way he lives life: from ballads to bow ties, he’s quirky, fun, nerdy and energetic, but with understated elegance and a hint of the classic dapper gentleman.
