The Piano Bar attracts locals and tourist alike. We have a rotating line up that makes it worthwhile checking out any night of the week. From the professional to the tenderfoot, from the professional jazz muso to the show town pianist, to the student trying to find his or her voice. We have them all. We have a cover charge most nights to assist us with keeping the MUSIC ALIVE!

Oriental Feast is a duo formed by classically trained pianists, Francois Botha and Yohan Chun in which they explore the fun side of music-making with their piano-bass-vocal setup. With this combo they explore their love of jazz and the evergreen pop hits that everyone loves to love!


Both musicians play a variety of styles of music as well as sing and play different instruments. They have performed together at a number of venues and events including the Baxter Concert Hall’s Morning Melodies, Jazz at the Nassau, the Casa Labia Cultural Centre, Hazendal Wine Esate’s Jazz Club, La Motte Concert Series and dozens of private events, functions and weddings.


Yohan and Francois have also started their own concert series entitled, “Best of Both“, which is hosted at the NG Church in Pinelands and which programmes classical and jazz music alongside one another. Both members continue to pursue solo careers as pianists and have won prestigious competitions such as the FMR Classical Bursary Award, The Schock Chamber Prize and the Lionel Bowman competition and have performed with orchestra’s such as the Cape Town Philharmonic and the KZN Philharmonic Orchestra.

Resident Artists


Francois Botha is pianist living and working in Cape Town, South Africa and is active in the classical, jazz and popular music scenes.


Nina’s music can at best be described as global – which combines a variety of different styles and influences. She fuses afro soul, jazz, pop and even house music.


A vibrant artist who has worked abroad for many decades. She brings us sounds from Jazz, R&B, Motown, Cabaret and Soul­ – funk.


He makes his music the way he lives life: from ballads to bow ties, he’s quirky, fun, nerdy and energetic, but with understated elegance and a hint of the classic dapper gentleman.
